Q: What's the first joke you ever wrote?
A: I don't remember the exact first joke I wrote, but one of my early ones was a pretty plain one-liner. " Our parents never gave us drugs to calm us down, we had to find our own."
Q: What is the source of your sense of humor?
A: I would say, my family and the way my brothers, sisters and I were brought up. We gained a lot of perspective as military brats as well as growing up in a multi-cultural working class neighborhood. I am also a middle-child; the third of five kids; and a good sense of humor was my best way of getting attention...sometimes.
Q: In school, were you the class clown or quiet nerd?
A: I wasn't the class clown, but I wasn't really a nerd as defined by the film "Revenge of the Nerds", I was just quiet.
Q: Is it better to be feared or loved on your way up the comedy ladder?
A: I would only hope to be loved on my way up 'cause I may need a place to crash on the way back down.
Q: Your stardom: a karmic inevitability or old fashioned luck?
A: It's got to be karmic. Of course, this is assuming I gain stardom. I'm not sure I believe in luck so much as I believe in hard work and preparedness...and coincidence. Then again, I just admitted to believing in karma.
