Q: What's the first joke you ever wrote?
A: I believe I was in fifth grade when I wrote: What do you call a dog that
chews on your arm? A "chew-ouh-ouh!"
Q: What is the source of your sense of humor?
A: The source of my sense of humor is my life experience. I used to think
that
comedy could only come from pain, but over the last year or so, I've learned
it
can come from love as well. And I was suprised to discover that the comedy
which comes from love can be just as dark as the comedy which comes from
pain, if not darker.
Q: In school, were you the class clown or the quiet nerd?
A: I was never the class clown or the quiet nerd in school. I was always just
trying to maintain myself somewhere in the middle. I desperately wanted
attention,
but when I received that attention it was usually for being a smartass.
Q: Is it better to be feared or loved on your way up the comedy ladder?
A: I believe it is better to be loved. I've never laughed at anybody that
scared me,
but I've laughed with everyone that I've ever loved. Being loved should not
be
confused with being someone people can push around though. You have to
stand
up for what you believe in at all times.
Q: Your stardom: a karmic inevitability or old fashioned luck?
A: I'm a big believer in karma, but I'll take a little luck along the way as I
believe the
universe doesn't owe my dumbass anything. If I work hard enough and
in the right way, a little luck will give karma the push...
