After ten years in Los Angeles, Nick Offerman has compiled a resume to turn Sir Anthony Hopkins green with jealous rage. His film work includes "Patriotville," "The Go-Getter," "Sin City," "Miss Congeniality 2," "Wristcutters: A Love Story," "November," "Groove" and "Treasure Island."
In the more dangerous arena of television (where even Hopkins seems afraid to tread), Offerman has triumphed mightily. In addition to currently starring as Rob on Comedy Central's "American Body Shop," he had recurring roles on "George Lopez," "24" and "The Gilmore Girls." Programs that could handle only one of his performances include "Deadwood," "Will & Grace," "Campus Ladies," "Monk," "CSI: NY," "NYPD Blue," "The West Wing," "The Practice" and "ER." He is also a member of The Evidence Room theater company in Los Angeles, where he has performed (many) lines of dialogue in seven plays.
Offerman developed his habit for theatrics in Chicago, where he co-founded the Defiant Theatre and appeared at several others, including the Goodman, Steppenwolf, Chicago Shakespeare, Wisdom Bridge and Pegasus Players. In the theatre, he not only performs onstage, but builds scenery and props, choreographs fights, designs make-up and creates special effects. For his performance in "The Kentucky Cycle," Offerman received the hallowed Joseph Jefferson Citation, which has never been won by Anthony Hopkins. (He's never even been nominated.)

Nick Offerman was bred in Minooka, Illinois by gentle folk who raised corn and hogs, among other things. He graduated from the University of Illinois with a B.F.A. in theater and likes to build things of wood in his spare time. He loves fishing, hiking, drinking fine beer, reading books, playing music and writing.
It should be noted that, apparently, Sir Anthony Hopkins could not get an audition for the role of Rob on "American Body Shop."
