As a Boston University student at the tender of age 19, the Boston Herald hailed Elon Gold as "a comedy star on the rise." 10 years later, that star continues to rise as Gold gets set to shoot his NBC/Paramount pilot based on his stand-up comedy.

Growing up in the Bronx, a big fan of comedy, Gold emerged into a naturally gifted stand-up comic, sketch performer, actor, and writer. Having discovered at a very young age that he had an uncanny ability to do impressions, Gold went from mimicking his teachers to mastering truly unique voices like Charles Grodin and Howard Stern. In fact, Gold got to do Howard on Howard Stern's show and Grodin on Charles Grodin's show. At 17, Gold began his stand-up career and, one year later, Gold's impression-infused routine led to his first television appearance on MTV's "Half-Hour Comedy Hour" where he appeared alongside Chris Rock, Ray Romano, and Drew Carey. By the time he was an undergraduate student at Boston University -- where he graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Economics -- Gold was splitting his time between his studies and touring comedy clubs and colleges across North America. In 1933, Gold was invited to perform at the world-renowned Just For Laughs Montreal International Comedy Festival, where he appeared in a Showtime Network special hosted by the late John Candy.
