Aziz Ansari

Originally from South Carolina, Aziz Ansari is a standup comedian based in New York City that TimeOut New York recently called their "favorite new standup." In 2005, he won the Emerging Comics of New York award for Best Male Standup.

In addition to an appearance on Comedy Central's "Premium Blend," he is also featured on the Comedy Central records CD/DVD compilation "Invite Them Up," featuring many of New York's top comedians, including David Cross, Todd Barry, Demetri Martin, Eugene Mirman and more. He also occasionally provides commentary on VH1's "Best Week Ever." Aziz currently stars in NBC's "Parks and Recreation."

In June of 2005, Aziz began a run of his one man show "Aziz Ansari Punched a Wall" at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in New York.

Aziz also has a tough time finding a middle ground between modesty and arrogance when writing his bios.
