Q: What's the first joke you ever wrote?A: The first joke I ever wrote was a submission to Laffy Taffy when I was about eight. Back then Laffy Taffy came in squares and the jokes were printed on the inside of the wrapper - it was a very different time. I can't remember exactly how the joke went but it had something to do with trickle-down economics. Anyway, I never got a response. Comedy's a tough business.
Q: What is the source of your sense of humor?
A: An overactive bladder and a dysfunctional sense of responsibility.
Q: In school, were you the class clown or quiet nerd?
A: Both. Anything for a laugh.
Q: Is it better to be feared or loved on your way up the comedy ladder?
A: Loved. Laughter's not as fun when you're alone.
Q: Your stardom: a karmic inevitability or old fashioned luck?
A: Karmic luck.
